DELAWARE PROSTART® COMPETITION

The Delaware ProStart® Student Invitational is a chance for students from all over the state who participate in their high school ProStart® program to compete against their peers. Only one team (formed of 2-4 students) from each school can participate in each of the competitions.

Management teams present an original restaurant concept to a panel of top-industry judges and answer critical thinking questions related to front and back of house scenarios. The culinary competition tests students on their skills taught in the program. Teams are given 60 minutes to prepare a three course meal and present to top industry chefs and educators. The state competition winners are given the opportunity to compete at the national level.
