Job Title: Line Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef

Position Summary:

A Line Cook helps play an important part in providing Guests with an excellent meal and service experience. You will assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in supervising food production and prep tasks while ensuring the quality and cost standards are maintained. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain commercial kitchen experience with rapidly growing company. As a Line Cook you must be eager to provide one-on-one customer service with the understanding that you represent the face of a company focused on providing ICONic service.

Essential Job Functions:

Ensure the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
Work with the Team to do portion prep work.
Prepare basic components of each dish using our proven recipes.
Educations/Certificates/Licenses/Training:

Current food handlers permit.
Experience/Background/Knowledge/Skills:

Two (2) years cooking or kitchen experience strongly preferred
High level of professionalism.
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; handle, reach, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule Requirements:

Must be available for all shifts including weekends and holidays.
