Job Title: Server

Reports To: Food & Beverage Director

Position Summary:

Servers have a dynamic role in the overall experience of our guests. A Server greets and serves the guest in a gracious and professional manner while in accordance with standards of quality, presentation and sanitation. This role must strive to provide outstanding service at all times while maintaining the understanding that you represent the face of a company focused on providing ICONic service.

Essential Job Functions:

Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and friendly service to all members, guests and employees.
Distributes menus and seats members/guests, if hostess is not on duty or is busy.
Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
Answers questions and suggests menu items maintaining knowledge of daily specials.
Turns orders into kitchen and explains any special cooking instructions with accurate abbreviations.
Serves meals according to service techniques.
Follows up with guests/members to ensure satisfaction and makes recommendations for additions.
Accurately operates the point of sale (POS) and performs cash reconciliation.
Removes soiled dishes and maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards of all work areas.
Verifies accuracy of all checks before presenting to guests and present in a timely manner.
Advises supervisor/manager of any complaints as soon as they occur.
Trains new staff members.
Performs opening and closing duties as well as work as assigned by the manager.
Studies all menu items and is able to explain dishes to members and guests upon request.
Attends pre-shift line-up meetings before each service shift and attends all staff meetings.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule Requirements:

Must be available for all shifts including weekends and holidays.
