Coming soon to downtown Wilmington, DE, boisterous games and dangerously good times at Wilma’s! The restaurant will feature a full-service bar and dining room with New Orleans-inspired dishes, in addition to Wilmington’s first duckpin bowling alley.

Available positions include: Host, Server, Busser, Bartender, Line Cook, Prep Cook and Dishwasher.

Duties & Responsibilities

Host:

  • Meet and greet guests as they arrive, escort them to their table and present menu.
  • Answer phones in a clear and friendly manner having a working knowledge of how the restaurant functions, answers to frequently asked questions, and a basic understanding of the menu
  • Set-up the dining room properly and maintain its appearance and functionality throughout the day, cleaning and organizing when necessary.
  • Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Be able to assist co-workers with their duties when necessary
    Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Server:

  • Greet tables within 2 minutes of being seated
  • Guide guests through both the food and beverage menu providing recommendations and explanations as needed
  • Have a deep understanding of the menu including ingredients and the ability to use that knowledge to assist guests in meeting their dietary and allergy needs
  • Anticipate guests needs throughout their dining experience, maintaining the appearance of the table while also fulfilling additional food and beverage requests
  • Set up dining room and server stations for success ensuring all materials needed for proper table services are in place prior to guests’ arrival and then replenishing those materials as needed
  • Breakdown dining room always maintaining a high level of cleanliness
  • Assist co-workers with basic job functions when necessary
  • Work as a team with the rest of the service staff – running food, clearing tables, re-stocking service stations, and any other tasks necessary for the positive experience of the guests

Busser:

  • Always maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the restaurant
  • Clear and sanitize all tables after guests leave
  • Assist servers filling water, pre-bussing tables, and maintaining general appearance of tables
  • Assist bar with stocking, re-stocking, replenishment of glassware, and assisting with any other needs
  • Assist dishwasher with the cleanliness and organization of the dish area

Bartender:

  • Efficiently and attentively serve the bar
  • Be able to confidently convey knowledge and passion of craft beers, cocktails, spirits and wine
  • Guide guests through both the food and beverage menu providing recommendations and explanations as needed
  • Anticipate guests needs, while multi-taking and prioritizing properly
  • Maintain an elevated attention to detail
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor in all circumstances
  • Always maintain the cleanliness of the bar and deep clean it at the end of every shift
  • Work well with a bar team, communicating and ensuring efficient bar service
  • Experience with Toast POS helpful

Line Cook/Prep Cook:

  • Prep station for lunch, brunch or dinner service.
  • The ability to work quickly and neatly in a high volume environment.
  • Basic food safety knowledge
  • Exceed expectations with all opening and closing requirements.
  • Obsession with kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong work ethic, flexible schedule and able to work long hours.

Dishwasher/Prep Cook:

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize.
  • Attention to detail is key for the dish/prep position.
  • Responsible for keeping the dish area clean orderly.
  • Professional demeanor and desire to learn and grow within the company.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Flexible availability
  • Ability to work together in a team atmosphere.
