The 2021 national data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that Delaware has the third highest rate of drug overdose deaths in the country. The Office of Health Crisis Response (OHCR) at the Division of Public Health (DPH) commissioned the Restaurant Accolade Program to assist the restaurant industry with addressing the drug overdose crisis by equipping restaurant employees with knowledge, skills, and resources - such as Narcan kits - to reduce deaths.
